BULL TROUT Fishing - June to May
The Pitt River near Vancouver has the largest run of bull trout in BC! These are the Pitt River's most talked about fish...they are extremely strong fighters, very aggressive and often mistaken for steelhead for the fight they put up. They vary in size from 2-15 lbs with an average being 4-5lbs. The bull trout has a life span of over 20 years! They return from the ocean in June and spend 10 months in the system.

RAINBOW TROUT Fishing - year round- peak time Oct- November
The Pitt River in British Columbia boasts some of the most unique rainbows which are well sought after for pictures -some have been named "Leopard Trout" because of their spotting and colours and are very aggressive on dry fly. They average in size from 1 1/2 lbs - 5 lbs

CUTTHROAT Fishing - year round- best times May-June & Jan-Feb
Just a hop, skip and jump from Vancouver BC - Cutthroat 14- 20 inches, we have Sea Run Cutthroat as well as a large population of resident Cutthroat Trout.

SOCKEYE Fishing - July 29 to August 30th
The Pitt River in BC has the largest sockeye by size in the world with some weighing up to 17 pounds, with a run size of 70 - 100,000. They are extremely strong fighters and are easy to catch. When sockeye return to the Pitt River they are chrome bright through August and they change to their spawning colours in September.

COHO Fishing - September 25 to December
The Pitt River has the largest run of all wild coho in BC with numbers of 20,000 the last three years. The Pitt River is 40 miles from the ocean which is just a short distance for these fish to travel - when they arrive they are chrome bright and extremely powerful. They range in size from 4-20 lbs with the average being 8-12 lbs.
